This is a convenience translation of the German-language General Terms and Conditions. Only the German version is legally binding; in case of discrepancies, the German text shall take precedence.

Right of Withdrawal:

According to § 18 (1) (10) Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for services related to leisure activities, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.

General Terms and Conditions (T&C)

for participation in the Cloud Native Compass Training. Organized by Dr. Constanze Roedig and Márk Sági-Kazár

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to all contracts between the organizers and the participants ("customers") in connection with registration and participation in the Cloud Native Compass Training ("Training").

2. Registration and Payment Terms

(1) Registration for the training must be made in writing.
(2) A participation contract is only concluded upon confirmation of registration by the organizers and full payment of the participation fee.
(3) The participation fee must be paid in full in advance and within the validity of the respective price band. If payment is made later, the applicable (higher) price band applies. Latest payment receipt is 24 hours before the training begins.

3. Cancellation and Withdrawal by Customers

(1) Cancellations must be communicated in writing (email is sufficient).
(2) The following withdrawal regulations apply for cancellations:

  • up to 60 days before training begins: 100% refund
  • 30 to 59 days before training begins: 50% refund
  • less than 30 days before training begins: no refund

(3) Customers can transfer their registration to another person free of charge at any time.

4. Special Needs and Accessibility

Special needs or requirements must be communicated to the organizers in advance in writing. The organizers will endeavor to accommodate these as far as possible, but cannot guarantee this.
Note: The venue is not barrier-free

5. Participants' Obligations

(1) Participants are required to bring their own functional laptop for the training and ensure the necessary technical preparation.
(2) Participants commit to respectful behavior and active participation in the training.

6. Changes and Cancellation by the Organizers

(1) The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the training program, trainer assignment, or venue, provided this is objectively justified and reasonable.
(2) Should the training be cancelled for reasons attributable to the organizers, a full refund of the participation fees already paid will be made. Further claims are excluded.

7. Liability

(1) The organizers are only liable for damages they have caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
(2) Liability for slight negligence, consequential damages, financial losses, lost profits, and damages from third-party claims against participants is excluded, unless mandatory legal provisions prevent this.
(3) The organizers assume no liability for loss, damage, or theft of participants' personal belongings during the training.

8. Final Provisions

(1) Austrian law applies exclusively, excluding its conflict of laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
(2) The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is – insofar as legally permissible – Salzburg.
(3) Should individual provisions of these T&C be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
